The home owner of a dated bungalow had two requests: modern design and more space. Our vision manifested in the form of a two-storey pitched structure built upon three of the existing main-floor brick walls and dressed in grey metal with cedar accents.

Craftsmanship continues with interior detailing—from a custom oak-slatted screen crafted for partial privacy to a basket weave-patterned fireplace surround—that adds texture and intrigue to an open space. It is, however, the geometry of the home’s rear exterior design that steals the show with its playful use of varied angles and depths. The result? A creative design with a functional and welcoming interior.
