A two-storey home received a full interior renovation for a chic and modern update. By relocating the kitchen to the front of the home and opening the entire back wall, the home’s living and dining areas gain a connection to the outdoors, a bright interior and privacy from passing pedestrians outside.

Similarly, a larger second-floor rear window channels sunshine into a generous bedroom with clear backyard views. Transparent elements on the main floor, acting as room partitions without blocking sightlines, maintain the feeling of openness in the continuous space. The granite-topped waterfall kitchen island, with dramatic veining, is large enough for meal prep and casual weeknight dinners. For a pleasing effect, a palette of white and grey accompanies the rich hues of the solid cherry wood flooring.
