Creating memorable experiences at home is the effect of this reimagined two-storey home. Soft textures and moody hues in the living area transition to a fresh, bright kitchen with counters topped in white quartz for a modern edge. Design details abound in this inviting space, including a walnut island niche for cookbooks and memorabilia, that balance functionality with fun.

The kitchen and dining areas flow through 14-foot-wide retractable glass doors to a large deck, framed in glass, ideal for summer barbeques or weekend brunch with friends. The standout is the principal ensuite, a rear second-floor addition clad in grey fibre-cement panels, that soothes the soul with a zen-like quality through the blending of walnut, white-painted walls and marble porcelain tiles. Natural light is the finishing touch.
